BILL: Demonstrations are getting larger. Were deeply concerned!
(pointing to DioGuardi) are completely biased. You do not mention the suffering of Serbs in Montenegro and Kosovo. You do not mention that maps of greater Albania have been distributed. Invite real experts for discussion on the true situation. You talk about taking away our most favored nation status. The trade surplus is on your side. We dont need your trade.
Adam Demaci who was arrested just for speaking out?
national tolerance.
Ambassador. We are not discussing your national boundaries. We are concerned with the full and equal manifestation of human rights. The list of crimes by Albanians you gave us earlier are predictable because Kosovo is an Albanian area. The issue, with all due respect, is much larger that that.
Albanians?
Albanians? We are hoping to visit Yugoslavia. We want responsible Yugoslavian officials to raise the issue of Republic status. Focusing on specific antiesocial acts does not focus on the real issue opportunities for ethnic Albanians and affirmative action like we have here in the U.S.
AMB: I responded to your question about recent events in Yugoslavia.
TOM: (Uses analogy to national racial segregation in U.S. 25 years ago to show how we dealt effectively with racial tensions here.) |
